Julia Williams was raised on the Flathead Reservation and is Salish Pend o’Orielle from the Flathead and Ojibwa from Turle Mountain from her paternal grandparents side. Her mother’s ancestry is almost full German. Julia was fortunate to learn the art of beading from one of her elders, Rachel Bowers. She loves to bead and is always honored when asked to bead for the graduating youth. Julia has been beading for about 21 years using bead flat style and peyote stitch. She is also a life learner of traditional plants as medicine.
