Over the past decade, the Cheyenne River Youth Project has been part of something rare — a partnership rooted not in transactions, but in trust. When Block first connected with CRYP through its Dreams Films series, the goal wasn’t to “tell a story” and move on. It was to listen, to build a relationship, and to walk alongside a community over time.
Today, that journey continues with the release of a new short film, The Children Are Coming Home. The film reflects what we have always known: lasting change begins within communities themselves. It grows through culture, connection and the belief that young people deserve to see a future for themselves at home. We are grateful to Block for a decade of partnership grounded in patience, respect and a shared commitment to community-led change. This is what it looks like when people listen — and stay.
