At the Cheyenne River Youth Project, we often talk about creating pathways for young people to grow into leadership roles within our community. Today, we’re proud to share what that looks like in real time.

Johnny Blanco has completed our Youth Employment Initiative training program, and he is now stepping into a role as an administrative assistant at CRYP. Over the past year, Johnny has been building workplace skills, gaining confidence and learning how to contribute as part of a team. He recently earned his GED and is already thinking about next steps, including pursuing accounting classes and earning his driver’s license.

Now, he’s continuing that journey as a member of our staff, supporting CRYP’s administrative and finance operations while continuing to learn and grow. We’re proud of Johnny, and we are so grateful to have him on our team!
