Labor Day weekend is just days away, and the Cheyenne River Youth Project® is reminding South Dakota residents and vacationers that this is a great time to visit Eagle Butte. Not only will the city be hosting the annual Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Fair, Rodeo and Powwow, CRYP will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of special activities at its East Lincoln Street campus.

Here are our scheduled activities on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday!



Friday, August 29

* Leading Lady Farmers Market, East Lincoln Street campus grounds, 9 a.m to 4 p.m.
* Midnight Basketball, Cokata Wiconi teen center, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
* Breakfast, lunch and dinner service, Keya Cafe, Cokata Wiconi, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.


In addition to the regular breakfast and lunch menus, the cafe also will be serving Indian tacos, menudo, wojapi, frybread, nachos, soups, and build-your-own burgers.

Saturday, August 30
* CRYP 25th Anniversary Community Give-Away, Eagle Butte powwow grounds, 6 p.m.
* Breakfast, lunch and dinner service, Keya Cafe, Cokata Wiconi, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, August 31

* Breakfast, lunch and dinner service, Keya Cafe, Cokata Wiconi, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Monday, September 1
* CRYP’s 25th Anniversary Float, Eagle Butte Parade, Main Street, 10 a.m.
* Keya Cafe closed in observance of the holiday.
